Mappoji - In order to evaluate and enhance stakeholders' understanding of the strategies for
accelerating investment and trade to boost economic growth in South Sulawesi (Sulsel), the Bank
Indonesia Representative Office in Sulsel (BI Sulsel) and the Provincial Government of Sulsel are
organizing the Dedicated Team Meeting Forum for Accelerating Investment, Industry, Trade, and
Tourism in South Sulawesi (PINISI SULTAN) 2023. The event aims to foster collaboration and
cooperation among key stakeholders.
Knowledge Sharing Session
The forum commenced with a knowledge-sharing session conducted by the Tokyo representative office of
the Ministry of National Development Planning (KPWLN). This session aimed to provide insights into
successful investment and trade strategies from an international perspective. A representative from
the financial attaché office also shared valuable knowledge and expertise regarding financial
aspects related to investment, industry, trade, and tourism. This session aimed to equip the
participants with financial insights to make informed decisions.
The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) Makassar also contributed to the forum by
sharing their expertise in customs and excise matters. This knowledge-sharing session aimed to
provide a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and customs procedures to
facilitate smoother trade activities. The Head of the Investment and Integrated Services Agency
(DPMPTSP), serving as the Secretariat for PINISI SULTAN, presented a comprehensive report
highlighting the achievements and progress made by the forum in 2022. The report aimed to showcase
the positive impact of PINISI SULTAN and its role in attracting investments to South Sulawesi.
In this session, success stories and case studies of investment promotion initiatives by PINISI
SULTAN were shared. The aim was to inspire and encourage more businesses to invest in South Sulawesi
by showcasing the favorable investment climate and the support available from the forum. The Head of
the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Sulsel, serving as the forum's supervisor, presented an
evaluation of the achievements and progress made by PINISI SULTAN in 2022. Additionally, plans and
strategies for enhancing collaboration and synergy among stakeholders in 2023 were discussed.

The Governor of South Sulawesi, in their role as the forum's supervisor, provided crucial directions
concerning the acceleration of investment in infrastructure and trade. These directions aimed to
create an enabling environment for economic growth in South Sulawesi and enhance the competitiveness
of the region.
During this segment, the announcement of the South Sulawesi Investment Catalog (SSIC) for the year
2023 took place. The SSIC is a comprehensive catalog that showcases investment opportunities in
various sectors of South Sulawesi's economy.
The PINISI SULTAN Forum dedicated to accelerating investment, industry, trade, and tourism in South
Sulawesi serves as a platform for stakeholders to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and develop
strategies for inclusive and sustainable economic growth. With the active participation of PT
Mappoji Komoditas Indonesia and other business entities, this forum aims to create an
enabling environment that attracts investments, boosts trade, and strengthens the economy of South
