Mappoji - The company was founded in 2021 by a duo of brothers from Makassar, Sulawesi,
Indonesia. Achmad Alimin is
the Commissioner
and founder of Mappoji, and Raodhatul Jannah is the
Director and co-founder of Mappoji. With the same entrepreneurial spirit and deep understanding of
the local market, we are committed to providing high-quality coconut and their derivatives directly
from local farmers to our partners worldwide. Our values of integrity, sustainability, and community
guide our business practices, and we are proud to showcase the unique flavors and rich culture of
our region through our products.
We come from different professional backgrounds. Oda is an Architect and has a vast network in remote
areas of Sulawesi which made her think of being able to support and increase the economic level of
local residents in locations rich in natural products. And at that time, coconut was our highlight
because Sulawesi is such a
nutrient-rich soil and home to exquisite coconuts.
Achmad is a Product Engineer and had the idea to use the internet as a platform to promote coconut
products and their derivatives to people all over the world. As brothers and sisters, we discussed
and created a well-organized structure platform to introduce the unique tastes and cultural richness
of Sulawesi through coconut and its derivatives.
Numerous challenges during the development
During the process of building this platform, we faced many obstacles, especially during the pandemic
when prices increased and resources were limited. However, our determination as entrepreneurs didn't
fade away, and we continued to work hard to compete in the international market. From this feeling
of tiredness and endless struggle, Mappoji was born. Mappoji is an export company from Sulawesi,
named after the Bugis word meaning "to like" or "to love." The name represents our fighting spirit
to introduce the rich culture of our region.
The Mappoji team will keep innovating and developing the platform to meet the international market's
needs. We will continue to introduce the unique taste and cultural richness of the Sulawesi region
through coconut and its derivatives.
